Use Export and Import, much easier because it selects all the files for you and creates an OVF or OVA!

Do I need to take the VM guest onffline ? Mine is VMware 6.5 and I access it through web interface. Does it work the same ?

What format should I select , OVF or OVA ?What's the difference ?
Thx.
The VM neeeds to be OFF.

Yes, Exporting works the same via Web Client.

Basically OVA is contained in a complete single file, use OVA if available!

Where can I export OVF in this new 6.5 web interface ?

It would appear OVF/OVA is broken in vSphere 6.5!

So you have no choice but to download files manually, or use a Third Party Backup product - e.g. Veeam does have a free version.

So, all the files under the specific machine folder should be copied, correct ?
