Tech Writing - Field and Subfield

I had this question after viewing I need a synonym for the word "field" (Database context).

I'm documenting a web application screen that contains numerous fields per this redacted example for running (race) data for an athlete.

Date: 02/09/18
Race Name: Experts Exchange Challenge
Distance: 5 miles

Result:   Time: 39:09   PacePerMile: 7:50

Date, Race Name, and Distance are fields.

But how about Result and its elements (Time and PacePerMile)?  I'm calling Result a "field" and it elements "subfields".  Am I on safe ground? (My audience is technical people such as UX designers.)

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would understand it the way you have stated, so I do not have an issue with it. I looked at it from the point of view of a reader, which is what you want.

Good to know. I hadn't given it a lot of thought when I first drafted it, so maybe, following my initial instinct is the way to go.... :)
