want to share out a folder with 2 other computers in a workgroup

I have 3 new Windows 7 Pro desktop computers hooked to a 4 port linksys switch.  Not connected to any internet.  I have a folder labled "Files" on 1 of the computers desktop.   I want to share this folder with the other 2 computers.  Would I use Windows 7 HOMEGROUP or is there another way to do this?  What steps do I take to right click and share out the "Files" folder on the desktop?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Home group will work but you still have to go into the folder properties and share it to the home group. If you share without a homegroup and you don't have a password to logon then you have to go into network and sharing center and turn off password protected sharing.

Once you enter the password so you can see a shared folder does the computer ever have to enter it again?
