Weekly Activity Report Repository in SharePoint 2010

Hello,

I am seeking an efficient method for implementing in SharePoint 2010 a Weekly Activity Report where team members can enter and submit their weekly activities to their Manager.

It should be set up so each team member can only see his or her own submissions but the manager can see them all.

Preferably a structured list instead of a library that simply houses uploaded documents.

I appreciate any help with this, thank you in advance.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Under advance settings for a list/library you can enable a setting that allows users to see only items that they create. They would need contribute permission. The site manager would have full control permission on the list and be able to see all entries.

If higher security is needed, maybe create a separate list for each person and allow the manager full control on each list. More work, but maybe more secure, although in theory the above security model should be just as secure.

Good luck...
