Hi All, looking for a pen testing solution we can use to test our external and internal network, what do you recommend?

Thanks!

This expert suggested creating a Gigs project.
Are you looking to do it yourself? There are a number of tools you can use, such as nmap, Kali Linux (which is really a package of tools), Metasploit, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, Nexpose...

I'd recommend getting professional hired, at least at the beginning until you build more of a capability in house.

I mean if theres a standard tool we can use that scans everything - is it not straight forward?

Any good penetration tester is not going to just use one tool. They're going to use a set of them because different tools are better than others at obtaining certain types of information. That said, you could start with Kali Linux. However, like I did warn you: it is a whole bunch of tools bundled together. So while you are doing one download, you're really getting a whole bunch of things.

So also, I guess I should ask: Did you mean pen test, or was vulnerability assessment more what you were looking for?
