Azure subscription, and o365 enterprise plans

Hello Experts, is O365 subscription different from Azure subscription? I know the underlying directory for o365 is Azure. Will Azure be included in the office 365 E3 plan? Please let me know. Thanks

Yes, very different. Office 365 is a Software-as-a-service offering, you simply use some apps with it. Think of it as paid version of outlook.com or gmail (oversimplification of course, but should give you the idea). Azure of the other hand is an Infrastructure-as-a-service/Platform-as-a-service offering (analog to Amazon Web Services), allowing you not just to consume services, but build them, use VMs, and more. Many of the O365 components are build on top of functionality Azure offers.

What you get as part of Office 365 i Azure Active Directory - the "backend" of Office 365 that handles identity and authentication. For anything else, you need a separate Azure subscription.

Azure AD is the Active Directory portion of O365, and it is included, but only in a very basic sense. Azure is primarily Cloud Virtual Infrastructure, while O365 is a SaaS solution.
