Getting a pink screen of death when upgrading from ESX 5.5 to 6

Hello,

We have a vmware cluster that contains four hosts.

Host 1-3 have the exact same hardware and host 4's CPU is a little different. So we enable EVC.

We are in the middle of upgrading the ESX from 5.5 to 6.  Host 1-3 were successfully upgraded.  I am getting a pink screen when I upgrade host 4.  Please see attached.

Should I do warm boot the server and see if it comes back?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A PSOD is usually caused by failed hardware or incompatible hardware, firmware or drivers!

0. Make sure you are using the OEM Vendor edition of ESXi.
1. Is the hardware on the HCL
2. Did you update all the firmware on the Host before upgrading.
3. BIOS settings all the same as the other hosts.
4. Check Hardware for hardware faults. (use vendor diagnostics tools).
5. Check Memory in the host.

I would install a new version of the OS, not an upgrade.
