I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Contact Lenovo Support for the Recovery Media for these models.

If there is no way to boot at all, you need to start with the Recovery Media and reinstall Windows.

Are any of these in warranty. See if Lenovo can access (probably not) and help you work through the recovery.

We have had to do this for one client and had to back up the hard drive before the client called Lenovo Support.

Thanks, the only option is to remove the HDD which is a pain but will try Lenove support, I suspect theis is just out of warranty

I don't see any other way except a fresh install using Recovery Media at this point. I am not sure from the above what made the machines unbootable, but in any event, you need to reinstall Windows.

If you have a bootable Recovery USB Key, then shut down, start up with the key in place and it should start from it.  You would need the Lenovo Recovery media for this.
