Thinkpad yoga not booting with error
Thinkpad Yoga 15, I have a clients laptop which wont boot and get an error message: Your PC needs to be repaired, the operating system couldnt be loaded becausere the firmware (BIOS) is not ACPI
My problem despite trying all possibilities I CANNOT get it to boot to BIOS or even boot device. I have tried all combinations of f8, f2, del, esc.
Can someone help

Thanks, the only option is to remove the HDD which is a pain but will try Lenove support, I suspect theis is just out of warranty
I don't see any other way except a fresh install using Recovery Media at this point. I am not sure from the above what made the machines unbootable, but in any event, you need to reinstall Windows.

Thanks, problem is I cant even get to the boot menu to re-install the OS!

Thanks for the update and we can provide further help as required.
If there is no way to boot at all, you need to start with the Recovery Media and reinstall Windows.
Are any of these in warranty. See if Lenovo can access (probably not) and help you work through the recovery.
We have had to do this for one client and had to back up the hard drive before the client called Lenovo Support.
