Successfully set up a working Burst Report
Unable to successfully locate step by step instructions to create a publication or Burst Report in Business Objects Launch pad 4.1
Have tried numerous times (using the previous set up on 3.1 which is successful as a guide). The Burst report in 4.1 continues to fail.
I'm not able to understand the log file completely in order to troubleshoot to resolution. The crystal report runs successfully, the parameters are correct.
I would be grateful to receive assistance in interpreting the error log file. Step by step instructions to set up a Publication Burst report from scratch would be helpful too please. I am not the system administrator but working closely with the System Administrator to successfully set this up. When the System administrator executes the burst report, they receive a failed run also. The burst report is extremely important and without it, I would not know how to make it happen. Thank you so much in advance. I have been working with the System Administrator for months and I'm hoping to be steered in the right direction. I have been able to create a Burst report from scratch using a working version in 3.1. The System Administrator was able to create a server group where we thought that was needed and after referencing the server group, we still have failures. Any and all assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

If you can't figure out a way to do this with your current platform, some of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports utilities listed here support dynamic single-pass bursting and emailing.

Mlmcc,
I was able to locate the user's guide; thank you. Judging from what I have skimmed over (I will be reading closely) and what you said about dynamic addresses...what is the best way to do the following:
I have about 2,000+ users who are not all InfoView users(no account)
all 2,000 users are expecting to receive a report every two weeks.
One option, to make accounts for everyone and make this burst report Enterprise.
The way it was set up before, one Crystal report (the body of the report) used another crystal report (source file) with the key, person's name and email address.
If there is another way, please let me know.
Ido Millet,
Thank you for your input. I'm not sure we can go with a 3rd-party due to customer settings (Government), but I welcome the list. Thank you. I need to be prepared to hear 'No'. But I need to find a way to convince them otherwise.

Mlmcc,
Thank you for locating the document and sending it to me. I have also been reading the SAP User's guide you mentioned. I really appreciate it. Thank you again.

And I see that I need to hunt for the user guide (where I as looking for the administrator guide). I will look for the User Guide of Launch pad 4.1 If you find your original copy, that would be great. Thank you so much.
