Don't worry, we are here to help.

Identify your HP serial number / product number.  you can find that information on the back of your laptop.

What version of Windows (7/8/10)  is running on your PC? and what architecture (32 / 64) ?

You need those information if you want to download any drivers for your laptop, or you can let HP identify your product using below link.

HP download link:

Another option is to use Windows System Restore to Restore your PC back to the state it was working fine with internal speakers. just tell us what Windows is running on your PC and we will provide the instructions to Restore your PC back to the state it was working fine with internal speakers.

it seems your usb adapter needs a driver - if you don't find one, try using a more recent usb adapter

using a costech USB adapter
Why you use USB adapter ?  what happened to onboard Bluetooth of your laptop ? did you check the HP website for Bluetooth drivers ?

Make sure Polk Bluetooth version is compatible with costech USB adapter.

I screwed up big time.  In an attempt to make the Polk speaker work, I accidentally deleted the on board speakers "Realtek High Def Audio".  How can I re-install them?  My laptop does not have the onboard bluetooth, that's why I bought the dongle but can't get it to work. I'm just making things worse.  I tried downloading the bluetooth software suggested above but computer says my version is newer.

Thanks so much.  Here it goes, Name: HP ENVY, 15t-K200CTO, L8C63AV, K2T35AV, S/N 5CD5114GX5, 64 bit OS, came with Windows 7 and upgraded to Windows 10 Pro.

Just had a tough.  I ordered two identical laptops from HP which means that the other one still has the correct driver installed.  Is there a way to locate the driver on the other computer, copy it and paste it on this one.?  If you can tell me how to do it I'll give it a try.  Thanks again.

Thank you again.  After searching the HP site, I finally found the Realtek driver.  I download it and installed it and works great now.  As for the Bluetooth issue, I'm going to give up on that because I don't want to srew something else up.
