boot problem from imaged SSD
. i imaged a 240 GB kingston SSD with paragon disk manager 15 to a Samsung 500 GB drive without problems
only - on the Original system the copy does not boot -
the old one does boot from boot manager In the BIOS - not from the disk itself; the new one does not boot from either one
the weird thing is that the copy DOES boot on another system without problems
suggestions? asap plse!
the system is windows 7 -64 bit
and of course - the SSD is on the priority list as second - first is boot manager
system board Asus Rampage 4 Extreme

And what type of system is it (brand) - some Lenovo systems can have this problem, by design.
is the drive marked as GPT or MBR?
download minitools partition wizard free (https://downloads.tomsguide.com/g00/MiniTool-Partition-Wizard-Bootable-CD,0301-51034.html?i10c.encReferrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLnBzLw%3D%3D&i10c.ua=1), burn it using RUFUS (https://rufus.akeo.ie/)
whgen it boot to partition wizard, check wether it's MBR or GPT
Also, try copying boot files, go to windows recovery (either windows 7 and above work), in command prompt, type:
bcdboot c:\windows /s c:
where c:\windows is the location of boot files, C: is the partition to be marked as boot device.

i don't understand - if 15 is outdated - why is 16 a trial only ??

There are many versions within 15 and the latest version within 15 is Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 Premium SP5.
You should be entitled to free update to Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 Premium SP5. Just logon to your account in "my Paragon" and you will see the prompt for update.
Paragon Hard Disk Manager 16 is a completely new release and you need to pay a fee to update to Paragon Hard Disk Manager 16.

is it not free for EE experts??
Yes. But only for the initial version they gifted you. You has been gifted with version 14 and I have been gifted with version 15.
You might need to contact the CS of Paragon for your problem and I believe that they will upgrade your licence free of charge to version 16.
I will try to contact them when I am free.
i'll try the proposed update - but that means redoing the image i take it- right?
Yes. The software is outdated.
Are you cloning a SSD with OS of Win 10?
not sure which one to pick though
Try anyone and you will see further free update available.

Good info Thomas - what didn't you like about the 16 ?
Sorry it was SP5. The interface changed so much that I couldn't find how to clone a disk on a schedule. Either it isn't there or I couldn't find it. Either way, I like the interface of 15 better. I have used virtually everything and the price (free for Certain groups - see PTAC page) along with the usability is perfect, IMHO.
Sorry about the post earlier. I missed the part about the system vendor.

ok - i have update paragon disk manager to SP5 and have the same problem the disk images ok - no problems, but does not boot when connected to the Original system - it sees the SSD ok - but no boot
on another system -reboot and select proper boot device
then i opened a command prompt, and ran DISKPART
here the result s of that drive:
Partition 1 System 100MB
Partition 2 Reserved 128 MB ??? >> what is this ?
Partition 3 Primary 465 GB
i ran the acive command on Partition 3 and got in return this disk is not a hard disk MBR
this made me think of the 2 other drives in the system - one 2TB drive, and one 8 TB ; of course GPT ones
does this influence the not booting problem ?
