Database Connectivity from Cognos 11 to Oracle using Oracle 64 Bit client.

I am installing Cognos 11 on Red Hat 7. The client is providing me only 64 bit Oracle 11g client to connect with the datasources. Will this work...or do I need to have 32 bit Client ?

Depends on the version of Cognos.  It the app is 64Bit, you need a 64Bit Oracle Client.  If it is 32 Bit, then a 32 Bit Client.

>>The client is providing me only 64 bit Oracle 11g client

and?  If you need a different version, go download it.  The 11g client and drivers should still be available.

I don't know Cognos so I'm not sure what drivers you need.

This really helps/ But it does seem that Cognos has not rectified the issue of integrating 64 bit Oracle Client. SO will go with 32 Bit
