Outlook auto-complete doesn't remember email addresses or names

Our client's Outlook having problems with auto-complete on a Windows.  Running Hosted Exchange. On the PC using Windows  7 with Outlook 2013. PC is on a  Windows Server 2012 network.

Autocomplete is not working. Followed the instructions from https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/the-auto-complete-list-doesn-t-remember-names-or-email-addresses-19ba9a7d-e37a-4220-97c1-40499bc2f357

Worked initially but when Outlook re-started, it reverted back to not remembering any addresses. Or it remembers them but after about half an hour doesn't.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you checked the option in File > Options > Mail, under the 'Send Messages' header titled 'Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc and Bcc lines'?

Thanks, but Yep, it was the first thing I asked the user to look at and indeed it is ticked (UK)/ checked (US).

Irt's strange that it does work albeit for onl a short while or until Outlook is re-started.

Is this for all Outlook users, or only for one or a few?

Have you attempted creating a new Outlook profile or running a repair of Outlook?

Have you installed all of the available Office 2013 service packs and updates?

Only happens for this user. Haven't tried creating a new Outlook profile or checked service packs yet. Will do.

Tried creating new outlook profile, autocomplete still didn't work.

Made sure all service packs and updates applied.

Ran Outlook repair.

re-tried the orginal fix:  https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/the-auto-complete-list-doesn-t-remember-names-or-email-addresses-19ba9a7d-e37a-4220-97c1-40499bc2f357

None of these worked. Still no joy. :-(

Solved!  I noticed that this user was very close to his hosted Exchange mailbox limit and the system was goiving a warning. I asked the user to free up some space (empty deleted items, delete lots of old emails) and bingo autocomplete works properly.

It was obviously short of working space fot the autocomplete addesses
