The native Windows 10 mail app would support EAS connections to Exchange but the Outlook client will not--this is by design. If Outlook, the native connection required is RPC/HTTP or MAPI/HTTP. MAPI/HTTP has been the new standard--beginning with Exchange 2013.
Outlook2016 does not support this method to connect to Exchange 2016.
