Nothing happens while Installing SSMS 2016
Hello team,
Here's my situation:
I'm trying to install SSMSS 2016 (SSMS-Setup-ENU.exe) on a Virtual Machine, but I've try doing a "right click/Run as Admin" but nothing, literally, nothing happens; no error screen, no messages, not a single word of anything.
Why do I want to intalled?
I do have a SQL Server 2016, in that server I have all my databases. In my local VM i have a SQL SERVER 2008, so I can see all the DB, but if I want to do a manual change, it is not allowed (selecting "Edit TOP 200 Rows", shows the message "Invalid prefix or suffix characters. MS Visual Database Tool."). So far I have use query to do any update or alter to my tables or data.
Additional information:
Windows 7 Enterprise (64 bits)
4GB RAM
Any comments or advice I would appreciate it!

Yes, there was SSMS 16.x but it has been replaced by SSMS 17.x so I recommend you to go always with the last version. In this case, SSMS 17.5.

To use any kind of programs, I have to go through a process that takes times (approval), I'll start right now asking for the latest version.
Meanwhile I'll wait for a kind of workaround/resolution for this issue.

Hi All,
Just in case anyone else had this similar issue.
Installed .NET 4.5.2, 4.6.2, and 4.5.2 Dev Pack, and after that installed SSMS 2016.
Working good with SSMS 2016.

First of all, thank you so much for your comments.
I think this version is related to SSMS 16.x. releases, I have the approval of my development team to install it on my VM. The issue here is that this same program has been installed on another VM's, mine is the second VM having the same issue, but so far no resolution.
I'll try to suggest to download SSMS 17.x for this.
If you have any other comment or suggestion, just let me know.
