Using WSUS for the servers

We have a group policy where the pc's report to WSUS. I would like the servers to report to it also

We have a group policy for the computers but I do not see anything for the servers. At the moment each server gets  its updates from the internet

Do you have any idea where I would find the group policy for the severs?

The update control panel is locked down for the computers but its not for the servers

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

create (or modify existing) policy to the OU the servers are in and specify the WSUS settings as you did for the client machines (changing the computer group if you are configured to use that)

Open Group Policy Management and locate Default Domain Controllers Policy. Configure it for WSUS.
Computer Configuration -> Policies -> Administration Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update

You should be using what is called "Client side targeting" within WSUS so that you can group computers into the "Computers" group and Servers into the "Server" group

the policy is already set up for the computers. I do not see a policy for the servers so I assume that is why they are getting their updates from the internet
