Change HP Server behaviour on restoration of ppower

I have a HP Server where I need to change the Server state after a power outage.  If the UPS exhausts itself, and issues the command for the server to shut down, the server does so correctly but isnt owering back on when power is restored

Can someone provide the method to alter this setting.  I know Dell/Cisco/IBM servers, but have ittle experience with HP's

Do they have an HP Equivalent to a DELL iDrac wher I can configure this

HP servers have iLO to be managed remotely. See
iLO does not come with all HP server, it depends on the model.
iLO has basic functions that come for free.
Advanced functions is a paid Add-ON

Isn't it a function of the UPS to turn the server back on? i.e. I would want to wait until the UPS is charged at xx% (20%?) before restarting the server.

Thanks Alexandre, yes the UPS does do this provided the settings are correct in the Power Management.

In a Dell server you can choose how you want the server to behave in a power off situation.  You have the option to have the server Stay off or power back up.  The server is about 3yrs old and has and ILO, can it be accessed from the desktop in some way.  The only time I find it handy to have a server stay off is for those clients who dont see the value in a UPS, and its better for the server to stay off if the power fails and comes up/down/up/down before it becomes stable

In BIOS setup under server availability there is an Automatic Power Option, you just have to enable that. Default is to enable previous power state which is wrong as previous state was off as UPS shut it down.

Yes you can access the iLO web console when the server is powered off ... as long as it it is connected to the main. This allows you to turn the server back on. As it is a web interface, you can do port forwarding on the router and access it remotely or access it from a PC on the network

Obviously there must be a network cable connected to the iLO port

Start the iLO app on the HP server (Integrated Light Out), where you can confirm and set details like IP, ports, username & password. If you don't have it, you can download and install it
