Laggy mouse and touch pad

I have a new Acer Spin SP515-51N laptop. Having problems with the mouse cursor lagging. This happens with a USB mouse as well as the touch pad whenever the machine gets slightly busy. For example if the machine is downloading emails the mouse will lag until it is complete. Have updated everything I can find and tried a few different things I found on the internet without any luck. Help would be greatly appreciated.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Click on Start >> type msconfig >> hit Enter >>  select Services tab >> make sure to select (check) the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All >> Click OK.

When you are prompted, click Restart. now check if the problem is fixed, if so then one of the services must be the cause of problem.

You can do the same with Startup tab.

since you are talking about internal and external mouse, then's not a hardware issue.
did you tried updating the chipset? download mouse drivers (synaptics)?

So I ran Driverpacks again today and there were a bunch of new drivers. Seems to be behaving now.
