Enabling Storage Spaces Direct on existing 2016 Cluster
Hi
We currently have a 2 Node Cluster (Soon to be a 3 Node Cluster) running Server 2016 Standard connected to iSCSI Storage. We have recently been investigating Storage Spaces Direct as an alternative to using the iSCSI SAN.
To be able to minimize downtime, are we able to enable Storage Spaces Direct on the existing cluster to utilize the local storage as additional cluster storage, and migrate the VM's from the iSCSI SAN in parallel, or do I have to empty the cluster before enabling Storage Spaces Direct?
Thanks
