Keyboard and Mouse not working of several machines.

This is really really odd.

Windoes 10 pro & Enterprise....Keyboard and mouse stop working.

Yes before you tell me to go to reddit I got my 3rd machine this morning.  We are talking wired keyboards and mice.  All are members of my domain....and it is really causing me a huge worry.  Vipre says no virus, for what it is worth.  You plug in a new keyboard and mouse and nothing.

You can remote into the machine and make everything work....handy for getting files off that users know they are not to save locally....but hay I am a nice guy.

To correct this we have done two things....a total reload....and a windows repair....that takes longer and I am still reloading all my apps anyway.

I am going to hold this last machine so I have a down one, Replacing this users with a spare.

I have looked and looked and nothing....everything is stupid stuff, batteries in keyboard, bad keyboard....that jazz.  This is not it.

Keyboard and mouse work till windows loads,....IN setup and such.

On the last machine I removed the mouse and keyboard to try to let windows discover it again, no luck, I removed all the usb devices, no luck (in device manager via a remote session)

We tried PS2 keyboards and mice and those do not work as well....inside of windows....this would make me think it is not a usb issue.

Playing with the last one a few minutes remote in you do not see the mouse have a dot.  Just noticed that.

This is so odd.

What does Malwarebytes say?

(If it's not already installed, get a copy but don't pay for it.  The free version is more useful in my opinion, as it does not hook into the running system.)

Uninstall Update KB4074588,  reboot your PC and test.

I have attached the export from found some reg issues, and I told it to quarantine that stuff....I did not see anything that jumped out at me, and after reboot the issue is still KB or mouse.

A Windows 10 Reset makes you reload your applications. A Windows 10 Repair Install can Keep Everything.

When you get a machine running, update BIOS and Chipset drivers. If you want to update the Video driver, create a restore point first.
