Out of bound email monitoring with email ?

How do you perform email server and flow monitoring on multiple office location ?

I have MXtoolbox but it is somehow not really working well since the email alert always comes after the incident has resolved.

I have 5x offices with on premises servers and 2x data enters to monitor (hybrid exchange 2013 and some 2010). I also got subscription to Office 365, now I wonder if Office 365 Mailbox can be used as the out of bound monitoring mailbox ?

Any help and suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

That depends on what exactly you want to monitor. Simply receiving a message is a very simplistic test, and is definitely not enough for proper monitoring solution. But again, you are the only person that knows the requirements here, so it's all up to you. You can always check with the MXToobox folks and see whether this is a supported scenario.

Nothing in O365 will help you monitor your on-premises infrastructure. Look for 3rd party monitoring tools instead, here's one recent review by Paul Cunningham: https://practical365.com/reviews/mailscape-365-office-365-monitoring-enow/

I have MXToolbox Pro subscription, so I need to monitor some of the existing Exchange Server OnPremise infrastructure using the mailbox on Office 365, so I wonder if it is possible ?

I assume that by creating O365 mailbox for MXToolbox Pro alerting, it is independent of the existing OnPremise Exchange server.
