Adding new column to View

I added column to view and when I say select * from view I can see the column but when I use this view to join a table its says that newly added column is invalid.

I checked the name and made sure that I used the correct column. Please advice what I am missing.

If your View is created as SELECT * FROM tableName then you'll need to refresh the View if you added or removed a column from the original table. For that use sp_refreshview to update View's metadata:
EXEC sp_refreshview N'ViewName'

Also if you are doing this from management studio try Ctrl+Shift+R   (refresh intellisense cache), this may help it to refresh the updated view columns.

Other things to consider: Are you positive you are referencing the same view?
maybe you have this view under other schema?
