Changing Incorrect personal information that shows up on search

A user wants to change his listings on many informational websites, because they have written him up as being a partner of a company that he was never a legal partner of.

Can someone recommend an established and professional service that can make corrections?

I suppose that I can contact every website I find with this incorrect listing, and request a change, but I assume that there must be a corporate service of some sort that has experience, and can accomplish this rapidly.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should easily be able to find the source.  One main source feeds another -> feeds more -> it multiplies.   Once you update the source the rest should follow.   Without knowing more specifics, it is hard to assist.

If the local listings have been published by a provider before, better contact that provider to correct those information.

I heard that Loganix has a pretty decent review on correcting NAP issues.

A good lead towards finding a service, but not enough response from other E-E members

I understand. This is not an easy black and white thing to pinpoint without more detailed information provided. And you may not want to give that information out in a public forum like this.  You may want to try and use Live or Gigs and work with an Expert one on one.

The key is to know who the person is and what sites they are listed on. From there you can do a deeper dive and look up what sites power others.   There is a very general video about how business listings are generated on moz that may help understand how this works
