"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not really. Many settings are in the Registry and the Registry changes dynamically every instant. Further different computers are used different ways. Accordingly there would not be any meaningful comparison between 2 registries from 2 computers.

Ultra Compare (I have this) can do binary compares but as I noted, there would be many differences.

What are you trying to accomplish?

You can export registry from both computers and compare with RegDiff
https://sourceforge.net/projects/regdiff/

I merged the registries from working laptop to not working one and it didn't work either
It might be some setting with display. When we undock the machine it works. When we dock the machine it wont work.

I would not have done that. Export and compare, not merge from working to none-working.

I think it to be a waste of time to compare registry files. What are you trying to do

Compare RSOP results by running this command on both computers
GPRESULT /H GPReport.html

After that you can compare files on https://www.diffnow.com/
