I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Big Business Goals? Which KPIs Will Help You

The most successful MSPs rely on metrics – known as key performance indicators (KPIs) – for making informed decisions that help their businesses thrive, rather than just survive. This eBook provides an overview of the most important KPIs used by top MSPs.

Active/Passive is the nature of the DAG basically you will always have active DBs where the users are connected to their mailboxes, and the passive DBs that are being replicated from the active DBs. the active will show the DBs as mounted, while the passive will show DBs as healthy. Those passive healthy DBs will automatically become active and show a status of mounted if your current active mounted DBs have issues, unless you made any changes to the default setup of your DAG. The artlice GAURAV referenced can explain in more detail, but you know active passive by active showing status of mount and passive showing status of healthy. Passive becomes active is the active experience issues.

so in other words

there nothing call Active/active     with load balancer

becuase you said DAG work like this one DB online another DB in standby status

if the on-line one failed the standby will take place

so it is an HA  work

so why some ppl said DAG has two types  active/active    and active/passive

i saw on INTERNET only active/passive configuration

i am talking about only one single site no replication to other site

kindly advice

Yes the very nature of the DAG is HA. If the active fails the passive turns in. Active/Active generally refers to active DBs in multiple sites but if you have one site then you are correct you are active/passive which is how DAGS work.
