# Score calculator based on the various combination of answers.

I need some help creating a score predictor based on the selection of certain options. I am working on a change risk score calculator that will provide me a risk score calculator based on a users selection of the various options. The score will be used to provide risk ranges. I have attached the spreadsheet I started, Column A shows the area being evaluated, column B is the questions for each area and column C is the score that has been assigned to each answer.

What I want to see is each over score based on the variations of the options selected in a spreadsheet layout so I can evaluate the score breakdowns.

The outcome should show all of the potential scores, total summary of all of the values for each potential selected answer in each question.

Do you realize how many possibilities you have created? There are 6 questions and each question has between 3 and 6 possible answers. To get the number of possible combinations you would have to use Factorials and it would look something like this:

e.g. If Change Complexity = 8 (Change to a non-critical component) would that change the available answers for Outage Duration or Timing? e.g. Outage Duration would then be limited to 15< and Timing would be Normal or lower.

That would greatly limit the number of possible combinations.

We need to see what you are wanting this to look like when all said and done, please provide an example (or 2) scorecard so we know what you actually want.

You are exactly correct. I am completely aware of all of the possibilities that is why I reached out here. to answer your question about limiting answers or selection the answer is no. All of the options are still available if you change one of your answers.

There is no scorecard unfortunately, that is what I am trying to build. Then I can show ranges to group these values into which will drive risk and impact ratings.

- What are you expecting these scorecards to look like?
- What are the"Risk Ranges" that you mention?
- Are you wanting to know what the max and min of all 14.5 billion possibilities are? It goes from 70 to 5. I'm sure there will be a lot of overlap depending on what is selected
