Delphi FMX - Recognize a picture

Hello,

I need to recognize special pictures in my app and depending what picture it recognized I need to start different outcomes.
Is there a method or component to use the phone's camera for reading a picture and then recognize it?

(it needs to run for both Android and iPhone).

Thank you

you'll require specialized software for that

elon musk probably has a complete department writing software like that
which he'll probably share with you for a sufficient fee

as you are being vague about what to recognise
it's very difficult to give specific links

Let's say that there are 3 products in a shop : a coffee machine, a microwave oven and a hairdryer.

- if a customer scans the coffee machine with his phone (and this coffee machine and not the coffee machine of a competitor) my software should recognize it and then it should show technical info about this product

- if a customer scans the microwave oven  with his phone my software should recognize it and then it should show technical info about this microwave  oven
.... and so on
So there are fixed picture my software should recognize.

Thank you.

You can go in two directions:
- online - using some existing recognition service (google (face), microsoft  (api, face), ...) (for direction purpose only...)

-offline: - using own engine (slow approach) or osing already existing lib like opencv (example)

Both solutions can be establish on Android or iPhone...but all in all - hard work and lots of testing.

it would be a lot easier if the user types in the model and version of the product
just my .2 cents

You are right, but the customer wants *this* and he will not change his mind.
