Can't delete files automatically using windows 10 Settings

Hello,

Any ideas if we can run a script or bat file to clear automatically the files after a time in the download folder.

We did this settings in the local computer but it doesn't work.
We are using Windows 10 OS

Is it possibly working and you have not waited the 30 days?  New temporary files are created daily, so check the dates on some files to see.

Also, click on Cleanup Now and allow it to complete, then restart the computer and check in due course if files are remaining when they should not.

but it doesn't work
Can you expand on this a bit?  How did you "test" it?  What files did you create, etc?  And was this test of the automatic deletions, or does it also not work when you use the "clean now" button?

The clean now deletes everything apart from what is in the downloads folder

it has only been activated today so not 30 days yet.
I use Disk Cleanup instead.

Try running Disk Cleanup, and set all the options for removal. Run it, restart, go back and check. Did the options stick. They do not always and that would explain what you see.

Run Disk Cleanup again, and this time, click on Clean up System files. Select all options and allow to run. Now restart and check. All Cleanup option should be selected.

Now see if the Settings options work properly.

It is just an anomaly in how Disk Cleanup works.

delage would be the simplest solution, but if you prefer cleanmgr.exe, look at http://www.thewindowsclub.com/automate-disk-cleanup-utility-windows for a tutorial.
Thank you and I was happy to assist.
