How to add an IP address to my vlan ?

Hi Experts,

I have a CISCO NEXUS 3500 switch.
Here I have to create a new VLAN with an ip address.
But this is not working here.....cannot add an ip address to the switch.
can you help me out ?

Get to configuration mode:
int vlan 10
ip address
Is the IP not sticking to the config? In configuration mode have you turned on the feature to enable VLAN Routing? You can do this by issuing the “feature interface-vlan” command.
