How to stop replies from going into inbox Outlook 2016

When replying to an email in Outlook 2016 the user is getting the email back in the indox as well as in the sent folder.  How do I stop the email from going back into the inbox?

Do you mean the new email they sent as a reply, or the original email they replied to?  If the latter, are you sure they aren't CC'ing themselves when they reply?

HI Frogworks,
You have Conversation View enabled. You can either turn it off or simply disable showing messages from other folders (like Sent Items).
Go to the View tab on the Ribbon, and either uncheck "Show as Conversations" or click "Conversation Settings" and uncheck the "Show Messages from other Folders".

It's a Gmail account that the user accesses through Outlook 2010. The user sent an email from the Gmail account to me and it made it successfully, but it also showed up in the INBOX in Outlook. The user then replied to that email and the reply made it to me successfully but show up in the Gmail INBOX.
