Can someone please let me know the main difference in these 2 switches.

Cisco Catalyst 3650 48 Port Full POE 4X1G Uplink IP Base
Cisco Catalyst 3650 48 Port Full POE 4X1G Uplink IP Services

Big difference in price - please advise, without stating the obvious!

The hardware is probably the same, but the software is different. If you have smartnet you can buy the cheaper base version and then upgrade it to IP Services if needed. If you are only doing basic switch operations then the base is probably fine, but if there is anything else you are doing on the switches like 802.1x or layer 3 for example you might need the IP services version.

@Svet Chinkov it is not 3560, but 3650 so IOS is XE 16.x or XE 3.x Also, upgrade IOS XE to version 16.x gives additional features compared to IOS XE 3.x .

Biggest difference between IP Base and IP Services is support for VRF-lite, BGP, IS-IS - and also additional support for OSPF and EIGRP protocols.
Table 3.       Cisco IOS Software Feature Set Differences

To check if all that you need is present on IP Base model use Cisco Feature Navigator.
@Predrag Jovic - 3560 was is clearly a typo and what I said is valid. As you can see I did not say anything about the difference between IOS and IOS XE, I used the general term software which could be IOS or IOS XE. The 3650 series do not support IOS.  Like you said they support IOS XE and the current version is 16, which is above version 15. Yes, there is a difference between IOS and IOS XE, however the answer to Darrin's question that the difference is in the licensing, not the software version. I hope that clarifies it further.

Thank You,
There is no version 15 IOS XE for 3650, it is either version 3 or version 16.
3560 supports IOS 15.x

That's why I made comment regarding IOS and hardware platform. ;)
Again, you are getting into specifics, however I am going to stop this conversation here, otherwise will be hijacking Darrin's question :)
