Adapter USB to USB part name

Need a USB connector. Plug a keyboard into one end and the other end inserted in a computer USB port.

This link shows male to male and so forth but does not seem to be the name of what I need.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You just need a USB extender cable. Female on one end and male on the other, right?

There are adapters on your second link with a cable such as William showed above.

There is on 6 rows down under the Vention label.

That is what you want - correct?

I do not want the cable. I want the connectors on each end of that cable to be a simple 1-1.25 inch USB adapter.

What ends do you need on a 1.5 inch adapter?   If not male to male, then what?  Male to Female would not make sense as you would just plug in.

Remove the cable from the one mentioned above. I want a simple adapter to try to fix the KVM switch. The connection is somewhat loose and I want to plug the keyboard into one adapter and then plug the adapter into the KVM. Same for the mouse.
A new KVM is too expensive at the moment and I'm not clearly seeing how it could go bad overnight when no wires were touched by any human being.

On your second link about 30 rows down on the right hand side is a USB Female to USB Male. That may be what you need to get new connectors at the KVM.

I looked down 35 rows.
When I search for simple adapter on Ebay it is always regular USB to mini or micro or 3.0 to 2.0 and not seeing what I need.
Plain ole USB simple connector to replace the 3-6 foot cable.

I found this one on your page Male to Female not mini or micro.
