For one, installing on a DC you have the option to AD integrate it which means that it syncs as a ADDS partition

when zone syncs with AD, same data is available on all DNS servers which are also domain controllers due to AD replication
In addition to above AD integrated DNS also accept *secure* dynamic update which is nothing but he can update dns records dynamically only from authorized clients and servers that are authorized to make dynamic updates to the dnsZone
