Difference between dedicated servers and hybrid servers

What is difference between a dedicated server and a hybrid server? Hybrid server offers scalability so, is it that one might run out of space like dedicated server?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

A dedicated server means: you hire a physical machine with some provider..., ie. no one alse uses that hardware.
No VM manager will be used.  so there is not a lot of room to extend the "hardware"

A Hybrid machine would be virtualized, so when you want more CPU capacity they either remove a "cap" on cpu time, or add a CPU... or add memory to the VM (not the physical machine...) Just don't expect to setup your 2048 Core , 128PB system as a hybrid machine. (the is beyond physical limits).

Dedicated Servers are the best choice for organisations that need an isolated server environment and all the resources are confined to them. Optimal performance is of more importance than the flexibility and convenience offered by virtualization. Hybrid Servers combine the exceptional performance and enterprise specifications of dedicated servers  with the convenience and flexibility of virtualized infrastructure. Hybrid servers fill the gap between less powerful virtual private servers and the most powerful dedicated servers. Hybrid servers are great for hosting high-traffic sites, databases, and file storage, CMS, eCommerce applications. To know more about Hybrid Servers visit:
