Every version of QuickBooks allows for cheque printing as far back as I can remember, right back to V7 if memory serves. Just click Cheques in Suppliers.

Hope that's helpful.

Every version from QB 2002 forward can print checks on check forms. I do this routinely. You need to use use check forms because of MICR encoded bank numbers but it all works

Do you need to notify your bank that you will be printing checks from QuickBooks that will draw from your bank's checking account or can you just print the checks using your banks existing checking account number?

No you do not need to notify your bank. You need to get forms from a Printer who does MICR encoding and the checks will work. I do this all the time

I have used NEBS for years but I do not know they work in your area. Look this up in Intuit Marketplace for your local area
