TDP -TSM -Backup Dependency/integration with VCentre 5.5

One of My VC5.5 is not accessible somehow  which was earlier started with problem like most of the host and sites got disconnected and later we lost access to vc.
Due to that i am unable to check for tdp backup status which is invoked via data movers with defined schedules running with snapshot creation/deletion -disk consolidation and backup through data movers.

Kindly advise if there is other way out to look for those tdp backup related issues like if any of them is failed due to snapshot or some other reason.

Any integration/dependency of tdp with vc  causing this issue ? if yes why few of backups are completed but few are failed ?

How Can we check the Task status because if we connect to esxi using v sphere client showing only events but not task status?

Kindly assist for better way out if possible without connecting to vcentre

Hi,
should you need to look for backup status or scheduled backups, you do not need virtual center: you just need to look at logs into datamover itself, into the path:

C:\Program Files\Tivoli\Tsm\baclient

you may want to look at error file and schedule file, whatever you have named them: thier default name is dsmerror.log and dsmsched.log or tdpsched.log.
You can order files by most recent date and you will easily find them.

Should you want to restore anything by means of datamover, you will certainly need some Virtual Center to be alive, because that is the gate to reach ESX and virtual machines on them.
