Sd card

Hi,

I have a micro sd card that has files for my dashcam. It was recording fine before I ejected it. Now the reader does not recognize it. Any ideas? thanks

Try in another reader (in worst case, use a phone with microSD slot). If it can't be read there also, the card is defective, bad luck, happens sometimes for no reason (even if you're super careful, it can still happen).

Is there a format feature on the dash cam?

Yes, but I was wondering if I could get some of the files out or that is it? thanks

could try mounting the card ion a pc and use "Testdisk" to see if it can recover the files.

see the testdisk web site for more info on the usage of testdisk:   https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

I have tried different readers. no luck.

when I launched testdisk, it did not pick up the card at all...

Did you mount it on a computer, what OS?

It maybe a case of a failed card as stated by Kimputer.

Yes, I did. I have win 7.

I used the same reader with different card, it works right away....

What is strange is that the card worked fine before I took it off from the dash cam. (it was recording)
