"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Snapshots are taken in a tree but you can delete the snapshots in the middle as the delta disks are different for each snapshot.  The VM will power on regardless of the associated snapshots being deleted.

Why are you using Snapshots, you do know that performance of the VM will be reduced.

Snapshots are not backups.

what happens if I delete the 2nd snapshot vm can I power on the VM?

Yes, you can power on the VM.

what happens to the 3rd snapshot will it remains ..

if you delete Snapshot 2, Snapshot 1 and Snapshot 3 will remain.
