Max VMDK size for a guest vm on VMware 5.5

What's the maximum vmdk size that I can create on Vmware 5.5 ?

The current vmdk size is 2TB. Can I extend it ot 3TB ?

62TB is the maximum size of a virtual disk in ESXi 5.5.

You may be able to extend to 3TB.  But this needs to be done via the Web Client, also see this article
