Hyper-V SSD Cache, supported?

Hi

We're considering a change from VMware to Hyper-V (Windows server 2016) when buying new host servers, however we would like to use SSD Cache.
This is supported with WMware. Does hyper-V support SSD cache?

Our VM's stored in a Dell Equallogic SAN - mix of 7.2K SATA and 10K SAS drives.

Yes, one can tier storage between HDD and SSD.

I have two very thorough EE articles on all things Hyper-V:

Hi

The articles doesn't say anything about my question.
Tiered storage, isn't that just for DAS?

We have a SAN where the VM's is stored, SSD's will be installed on the Hyper-V server.
Can the SSD's on the Hyper-V server act as a cache when the VM's is stored on a SAN?
I don't work with VMware so am not aware of what is meant by tiered storage there.

In a single server setting with RAID driving the disks we can set up an array with SSDs and an array with HDDs. VHDX files can reside in one or the other.

In a Storage Spaces setting, tiered storage can be set up with hot, frequently accessed, data being moved into the SSD tier while cool/cold data gets swapped into the HDD tier.

Hyper-V is a hypervisor. Windows Server is the OS that drives it and manages the storage.
