Need Help w Visio 2013 Org Chart

Recently upgraded to Visio 2013 where there are now photo placeholders when using the org chart wizard. This was not the case with Visio 2010. How do I get rid of the placeholders which I don't have room for with a 475+ assoc org chart. I want the simple no frills/text only version and I would like to alphabetize the document. Any tips for quickly learning the new version would also be helpful.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Here are several tips that should make things easier:

1) Open a new, blank org chart. Cancel the org chart wizard if it gets launched.

2) There's a hidden field you can use to hide the photo placeholder for all shapes in an org chart. To change the setting you need to open the ShapeSheet for the document. To learn how to turn on the Developer Tab in order to then open the ShapeSheet, refer to this article by Chris Roth. Once the Developer tab is active:
-- On the Developer tab, click Show ShapeSheet and select the Document sheet: Developer tab-- In the User section of the document sheet, set the ShowPicture value to zero: show picture setting-- Close the ShapeSheet window

3) Select which org chart style you'd like to use by clicking the appropriate button in the gallery on the Org Chart tab.

3) Save your document as a custom template: File>Save As>Visio Template (*.vstx)

That should do it -- just double-click your custom template to launch a new org chart.

Thanks, chaplyn -- you did close the question correctly, despite my wrongly worded instructions! One of the kind EE moderators pointed out this help topic on closing questions that you can file away for future use.
