Need on-line ticket sales for my seminars

Need a ticket management system for a speaking tour

I need an easy to configure ticket sales service with some basic features:

- At first I will give tickets for free
- I want to switch to charging money per ticket, with the flip of a switch
- I'd like eventually offer the first X tickets for free, then charge a fee after that the free tickets have been taken

I need to support multiple speaking dates with multiple locations

I have no merchant credit card service and need a service which combines payment processing.

I need to accept many payment methods and not require a person to have a PayPal account in order to use a Visa card.

What are some choices?

I do have a WordPress site with a WooCommerce plug-in. But I suspect I would get up and running faster if a choose a full-service website for this.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

With your restrictions, you need to hire some service to do this.  When 'you' start accepting credit cards, you have to go thru all the hoops.  Every site that accepts credit cards is a major target for hacking.  No one is going to let you do an 'easy' service.

I do want to hire the service. I want to code nothing, just configure a service and upload images and copy.

I am looking for various services that offer these kinds of services.

I see political campaigns do this. They have no time to write this kind of service, and simply hire it.

I want to do the same thing and was hoping or a list of options.

Know of any? or what to Google for?

If you host the service, you have to go thru all of the security hoops.  I've never had to sell tickets to anything so I don't know where to look.  I maintain a set of ecommerce sites so I'm familiar with all the security hoops.

I do not want to host the service. I want to pay a monthly fee and a percent of the ticket sales.

Ever heard of this? I am sure it exists.

here it is...

the first one I checked is awesome:

$0.99 per ticket and 2.99% for credit card charges...

From experience I've found that free tickets almost guarantee the ticket holder will not show up.  Use a nominal fee i.e. $1 / $5
