How do I change the look of the Google Search Box

I am trying to change the look of my search box.  if you view the attached image you will see that the new box with double lines doesn't look correct.  The other box is the old box.  I want to keep the magnifying glass instead of the text, but other than that I want my new box to look like the old one.  On my google controls look and feel only give me choices for the results,  it doesn't allow me to change the look of the box on my webpage.  Below is the code for the new box.  How do I adjust it?  How do I get rid of the double lines inside the double lines?

  								(function() {
								    var cx = '007869872437826671579:4ghvpfl3b9i';
								    var gcse = document.createElement('script');
								    gcse.type = 'text/javascript';
								    gcse.async = true;
									gcse.src = '' + cx;
								    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
								    s.parentNode.insertBefore(gcse, s);

Here is the code to the old box which I don't want to use anymore because I want the results displayed differently now.

<form action="" id="cse-search-box">
                               <input type="hidden" name="cx" value="017201984285415750805:ypbrseilgxg">
                               <input type="hidden" name="ie" value="UTF-8">
                               <input type="text" name="q" size="20" title="site search box">
                               <input type="submit" style="background-color:transparent" value="Search" >
                           <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Google is discontinuing the paid google search entity, not the custom freebee that I am using.  The layout options offered by google only pertains to how the results are displayed, not how the box on the users website is displayed.  Google allows me to download the xml file, make adjustments and upload back on their site, however, that doesn't give me the liberty to adjust the look.  When I did a search on how to alter the look on the search box the only thing I could find was how to change the look on a personal smart phone.  I could find nothing about adjusting the look on a website.  It appears that is solely controlled by Google.

If you exam the image I attached to my original question you will see that the google search box is NOT displaying correctly on the site.  Changing the xml file  won't work.  How do I alter the display of the box on the webpage?

The Admin have changed their minds again.  The just want the ads removed.  I know I have to pay them to do this.  There is no option in my control panel at google to adjust this.  It just says Edition Free with ads.  How do I contact them to change this?
