Cant locate the SSL certificate for the ADFS Configuration Wizard

My system admin configured the SSL certificate (wildcard) but when I am going through the ADFS configuration, I don't see any SSL Certificate in the drop down below.  There is an Import button next to the drop down but I cant find the .cer file.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

if you can see the certificate through mmc snapin but not in the ADFS configuration, it might be because the certificate doesnt have the private key and cant be use to encrypt the traffic
To se if the certificate your sysadmin imported have the private key, open mmc and load the computer certificate. Open your certificate and see if is says that it has the private key.
private key as an example

seems that everything is ok with the certificate
reboot the server and perform the configuration again. Is the certificate used for both client and server authentication?
As you mentioned before, in the ADFS configuration when you choose to import a certificate it should be a .pfx type. That is a certificate that includes the private key. If your sysadmin just imported the certificate from another server, maybe you can locate the .pfx file and assign it

If it doesnt fint the certificate i would recommend to perform a new request from the server and complete it there
