Mobile device privacy

Hi, I baught an iPhone 7 through a family plan at atnt and I am not the account owner of the atnt account (just a "family member"), so I have no real control over the account that I am a part of. I am not tech savvy at all only what Ive learned on my own through the years. And this is my first Apple device. So when I first tried to set up my apple account on day of purchace I was not successful, and it took over a week for me to get my phone set up with apple account. Now a year later Ive had this device now, Ive had several privacy problems with this device, and learned that (I believe) I was added to the family plan as a minor. I am 57 yrs old. This friend whos plan I joined due to my present financial difficulties has 2 sons that are advanced in the field of technology, and the oldest having several degrees in technology, can write code, has been emlpoyed as an IT for a financial company, is very much "in the know " about tech, and who is the admin of the home wireless network (wireless) that I often connect to . Now I do alot of research on the internet and have tried to learn as much as possible about protecting my privacy as possible, especially under these circumstances, but I have found ( without a doubt ) that Ive been being served up false web pages/sites on my device, especially on this topic but also on many others also. I am not sure if what they are doing in order to "gaslight" me is even legal but regardless Im at the end of my rope with all of this and just want my privacy, and to not be served with fake web sites/pages when Im doing my research online. Can you give me a solution to this invasion of my privacy ? What if anything can I do to stop this without getting a phone account of my own ? My iPhone 7 is running on iOS version 10.3.2 (14F89) . Thank you very much if you can help me ! Let me know if you need more info from me...

First of all, Your iOS is outdated and I would suggest you to update to the latest version, which is currently iOS 11.2.6

Once you update your iPhone to iOS 11, check your current "Family" setting under Settings -> iCloud (The section on the top of setting that contains your name -> Family Sharing. Check what's going on inside and share the result.

Also, your description sounds like your device is locked in some sort of parental control setting. Check Settings -> General -> Restrictions. Check what's going on in there and share the result as well.

Lastly, seems like your WiFi network is "rigged" against you. You mentioned that your search result on the Internet returned you fake pages. Can you elaborate on this situation? It is possible for a WiFi network to go rogue against its user if the administrator did some "shady" business to it.

P.S. Why are you letting others to control your device and your network? Do not allow anyone to control your network of devices unless you really trust them. In this case, I doubt that they are trustful.
