Integrating to MS Dynamics on the Cloud

Integration to MS Dynamics on the Cloud?
Hi Gurus!  I'm looking for information regarding integrating to MS Dynamics on the cloud.  I am looking to extract data from tables and load it into another application.  Has anyone done this?  Can you point me in the right direction regarding researching etc.?  I'm also looking for a list of the MS Dynamics tables etc.  This is a READ ONLY exercise.  No updates to MS Dynamics.  The cloud environment scares the hell out of me so recommendations are much appreciated!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'm assuming that you are referring to Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (previously known as CRM).  If not, apologies.
With the cloud service you can extract data but not by accessing SQL tables. Instead you have to use APIs to retrieve data. Have a look at this Microsoft article on the WebAPI,

You can use the Web API to read and write.

No need to be scared by cloud environments :)

Thanks, Feridun,
I'm actually referring to MS Dynamics - Financials (GL etc.).  Am I correct to assume the process should be the same?

Again, many thanks for replying so quickly!

I would imagine that it is a similar process but I can't confirm that it is.
