LDAP with TLS vs LDAP with SSL (LDAPS) vs ADFS???

Hi, I just found out that one of our cloud service vendors is dropping LDAP support very soon and rightfully so.

So, they are requesting we use LDAP with TLS or LDAP with SSL.

I am researching these options and LDAP with SSL (aka LDAPS) seems to be the better choice.

However, couldn't I use ADFS instead?

Just wondering.

Thanks in advance.

Definitely in my opinion. I do welcome other opinions but it is designed for this. The others are just securing a protocol but still have it exposed

Do they support ADFS?

Yes, I have confirmed they support ADFS 2.0, 3.0 and now 4.0.

I just received official setup guide documenting the steps to setting up a relying trust with them.

So, ADFS would be the preferred method over LDAP TLS or LDAPS, yes?

Thanks again.

Excellent!!!  I was hoping that would be the case...now I can be confident I will be knocking out multiple birds with one stone with this upgraded ADFS 4.0 project.

Thanks again for your time and efforts.

Have a wonderful day.
