get latest revision rows for a document table in Oracle

I have Docuemnts table in Oracle 11g  with  Document_No    RevNo  and a few other fileds like fld1, fld2
    RevNo is always numeric
sample data
  Doc1  1
  Doc1  2
  Doc1  3
  Doc2  1
  Doc2   2
  Doc3   1

 
I need a query to get Latest  revision rows only . In the sample    it should return
   Doc1  3
   Doc2  2
   Doc3  1

Simple MAX?
select doc_no,max(rev) from some_table group by doc_no;

I was thinking that it was a sample and more columns would be involved.  But, if it is really just the 2 columns, then MAX would certainly be better.
