Watchguard XTM 26 Traffic Shapping
Hello Experts,
I have got XTM 26 series watchguard Firewall in the company. We are now in the phase of upgrading internet bandwidth from 20 Mbps to 100 Mbps. According to service provider, I have to setup firewall for traffic shaping but I am not sure watchguard support it or not?
Parameters to configure on firewall are; Shaping Rate, Shaping burst, Extended burst.
I do not want to go with other option of adding a router before the firewall, as it may stops all applications running in branch office.
Can anybody help me with?

You may need to update your firmware, all options should be under Traffic Management.
Firstly, do you have security services on your XTM?
The XTM26 will only do 70meg max, so I'd strongly concider doing a tradeup to a T35 if possible.
You shouldn't need to do any of the traffic shaping in order to upgrade your internet bandwidth. The only thing you'll be doing that for is internal traffic if you want to dedicate certain bandwidth for users or devices depending on your ruleset.
It's a bit strange that the ISP should be asking this.

Hello,
I am sorry for replying back.
@Zaheer; I have got the latest OS in the firewall (OS 12.1)
@Guvna; I think we cannot upgrade it at the moment. Are you talking about 70meg downloading or uploading speed? In some video is show that, we can set up to 100 mbps.
I can configured following parameters on the firewall
1. Set up download speed
2. Set up upload speed
3. Can allocate custom speed either to individual application, per IP address basis, per policy based and/or can applied to the entire firewall
Is that enough to comply traffic shaping requirement?
ISP also email me that, without traffic shaping you will not get proper upload speed? Does it really matters?
