Enable DNS logging on 2008R2 server

DNS logging is not working for a 2008R2 server

Any advice on steps to reenable DNS logging?

Do i need to change or remove scavenging rules for this server , if so whats best practice for this

Bydefault the DNS logs will get associate with event logs as soon as you installed/configured DNS. Open the DNS console>Right click on your server>>Properties>>Event Logging>>Make sure 'All Events' has selected?

Check the Global Logs>>DNS Events and see if the events are appearing now?
